Cookie Policy
What this page is for
We tell you what cookies and similar technologies we use, why, and how you can control them. We use very few. We do not use cookies for advertising. We do not allow third-party advertising trackers on our site.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. "Cookie" in this policy also covers similar technologies (local storage, session storage, pixel tags) that perform analogous functions.
Wouch uses two categories of cookies, both first-party (set by Wouch only).
What we use
Strictly necessary cookies. Required for the site to function. These cookies do not need your consent under EU or UK law because they are essential to providing the service you have asked for. We use them for:
- Authentication (keeping you logged in).
- Security (preventing CSRF and other attacks).
- Preserving your consent state (so we don't ask the same question on every page).
- Routing requests correctly (load balancing).
- Detecting and preventing abusive behaviour.
Functional cookies. Help us remember your preferences and improve your experience. These require your consent in EU/UK; we ask for it on first visit. We use them for:
- Language preference.
- Display preferences (whether you've chosen any accessibility settings).
- Whether you've seen specific information cards in the app.
We do not use:
- Third-party advertising trackers (Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, etc.).
- Cross-site tracking cookies.
- Third-party analytics tools (no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Hotjar, no third-party session recording).
- Behavioural advertising cookies.
Our internal product analytics are first-party only; the data never leaves Wouch's infrastructure.
Specific cookies (technical detail for the curious)

We update this table when cookies change.
How to control cookies in your browser
In addition to the controls we provide, your browser allows you to block, delete, or be warned about cookies. The exact path depends on your browser; the major browsers' help documentation describes it.
If you block strictly necessary cookies, Wouch will not work; sorry, there's no way around this - they are how authentication works.
